Are you any good a typing? There are a lot of people who will talk into a Dictaphone and pay some one to transcribe it. As long as you are fast enough at typing someone will employ you, why not put an add in the local free paper or classifieds. Make some posters and put them in shop windows, you may find there are people who can’t see properly in your area who would be grateful for you to help them out. They could send you an mp3 of what they want transcribed and you can send them back a word doc. It is standard fare to charge by the word or by the page, but you must find out what format they want it back in. but this is a job that can become permanent and can be done in your spare time, well worth considering.
